About
Niko is a student at wildwood high school who is happiest on the tennis court or creating something new. So when tasked with a project-inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs), Niko chose Responsible Consumption and Production—a theme that allowed him to explore sustainability through his love of tennis.
While researching, Niko discovered that over 125 million tennis balls are discarded each year in the United States, most ending up in landfills. This sparked an idea: to give used tennis balls a second life through thoughtful creative design.
blending his love for tennis with his artistic skills, Niko created a bench created entirely from recycled tennis balls. what began as a school assignment quickly grew to an exasperation circulated design, showing that waste can be transformed into something useful and beautiful.
Through this website, Niko hopes to inspire others to think differently about sustainability in sports and to show that even a single idea, born from passion, can make a real difference. you will find links to learn more about sustainable in tennis and a link to Nikos hand made products. 50 percent of all proceeds with be donated to charity - supporting causes to help protect and promote a more sustainable future.
